wow that is a long time. I remember using floppies disks back in the day with windows 98.

It certainly Is quite a long time for a piece of software Installation.

We didn't know otherwise at the time, hence It seemed like a normal procedure.

yes, I agree and now the Software Installation time is either 2 minutes to 30 minutes and the longest is now like one-hour installation. that is the today standards.

One hour Is the absolute maximum.

From memory, I believe "AutoCAD" took close to that time to complete.

I also remember AutoCAD 2004, which didn't take up too much time to Install.

Over the years, It's become a lot more graphical-demanding, hence the greater the capacity and Installation time.
