If you're using YouTube on an Android device I recommend YouTube Vanced APK which can easily be found on Google. Blocks ads, little more customization, etc,. FYI

Did you try to find any browser extensions that block ads? I advise you to look into the google chrome online store. There you can find some kind of free ad blocker. For example, iNinja

I've come across Ghostery Privacy, but wasn't aware of It's effectiveness. Appreciate your feedback.

No there's a second app to install if you want to sign in with accounts, it's all in the instructions if you look up the apk
