How to scan apk for virus

The title explains itself. Downloading some apk's online how do I know they don't have some malware or keylogger etc or something else.

Unless you disassemble the file, simply use online virus scanners and traditional antivirus & anti-malware software.

. It will still give you effective scan results. There may be a few antivirus' that can't scan APKs, but most can.
