Yeesh, I hope for ya.
I bought Minecraft when it was like 10 bucks and now it seems like they seriously just jacked up the price. I mean, 27 dollars? Geez.

I heard it had something to do with the creator going bankrupt or something. Don't know if that's true or not though.

Mojang? Please, if anything they could become an economical superpower at this point if they wanted to.
You're probably talking about the April Fools prank they played.
The price of the game just keeps ramping up in direct proportion to the content it gets.

When I bought it for 10 bucks the newest thing they had was the nether. A really buggy and shitty nether that would crash your computer no matter how magnificent it was.
Now the game is some sort of amazing with so much content I can actually have difficulty with it now.

Basically:
More Content = Higher Pricing.
Mojang just played a prank of being bankrupt, is not true.

Ha, them going bankrupt is not even possible. I read somewhere that Minecraft alone has accumulated them more than $40,000,000 alone. Not only that, but they are still selling it. I remember when I bought it during the alpha stages. The price was much lower too.

Exactly. I still have my copy and am pretty surprised the price is already $30 (rounding up), I wonder if it'll cap out at some point.
Anywho, now with some school systems even considering Minecraft as a learning tool and the little tykes of our generations drooling over it, Minecraft will keep selling big.

I got mine during the early beta, and it was apperantly still generating tons o' money.

I am planning on adding territories, antigrief, and anticheat. We will also be using Bukkit. Are there any suggestions for what plugins we should use?

Something monetary? Like adding a currency maybe?
Idunno, I have a thing for societal structure.
