From what I gather, Destiny is more futuristic/fantasy. Starfield looks like it will have a bit more realism.

Oh, themeatically miles apart. I think it was just some of the lighting or movement animations. Though they may just be typical of space games, I'm not sure.

The thing for me is that...it "looks" very ambitious. Being a Star Citizen backer since day 1, I really kinda got why this one is already falling short.

For example, the coolest thing you can do in Sc by far is to physically travel from place to place 1:1. They instead got rid of this. Travels will be a loading screen...

Just been watching the extended showcase for this. It really looks good. Weirdly makes me feel like they took the best bits from 15 different games and put them together. Made me think of Destiny 2, Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky and others. It sounds like the planets are all named after real planets etc too.

I think I'll be buying this one.

Also, the collector's edition benefits look very thought out too. Interesting case with a cool lock mechanism and watch.

Haven't seen much of the gameplay, but hoping it bears similarity past works (TES/Fallout). Past couple years have been filled with overhype and release blunders.
