This is pretty simple and small tutorial. Lets begin with it.
1. Open the image u want to resize.
Image and then Image size
2.options:
i. height and width: u see 2 options in a drop down box at the right hand side.u can choose percent or pixels.in percent 100 is the actual size.so if u decrease it the image becomes small or on increasing it, it becomes large.
ii. scale styles and constant proportions: if u tick off the constant proportion box then u can set the image size in any proportion u want. But if u tick it on then the proportion would be constant and the image will not be hazy.
iii. resample image: simply uncheck it if u wanna make the hieght and width and resolution work in proportion.
iv.and the last drop down box is simple to understand as the necessary things are written beside them.
3.now if u increase the size of the image this would happen:
