I never really have issues with viruses or anything, but when helping other people, I suggest Malwarebytes; it's the best. Of course, another great "antivirus" is being responsible, and never download dangerous files.
I have only heard good things from kaspersky. I currently use "Trend Micro Titanium" it removes some viruses, but I think it could be better. The only reason I have it right now is because it was on sale because it was packaged incorrectly at walmart, it would have cost 40 bucks, got it for 20. I think when this expires I will try kaspersky, I always used to use McAfee then AVG.
Quote:Currently it's Trend Micro. Been using it for years, (nearly 8 years now). Surprised that no one has really used it. Plus Sunlight, that would be been an interesting experience working for Kaspersky.
I guess you have someone else who uses Trend Micro as well now
My favorite is AVG Free because it's good and free.
I had AVG free and it was missing virus' that I know I had in a folder, and it took more about 7 scans to catch it. which I don't understand, it should catch the problem the first time. plus it seemed inefficient at the time compared to other anti-virus programs I was looking at, kaspersky looks wonderful too.
I don't use an anti-virus. The closest I have to that is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware but I usually turn it off. Really, I am my own anti-virus. Just double scan your file (Anubis ftw) before you run it and check your start up weekly or when you launch programs you aren't 100% sure about, no matter how undetected it is.
