Although i run a seo Company , been using disqus for creating blog comments...
high pr pages certainly help , but only problem is link created is no dofollow.
And rankings were increasing but very slow , but not much after recent google update.

However i saw a very intresting thing , After 1000 comments and giving myself 5-100 thums up , my disqus profile started appearing in pages of google for low competition.
