Hello!!!
Today I will show you NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming). It will be just basic, since its a whole science.
What is NLP?

To be honest, I just tasted this science a little bit. So my definition is not perfect.

So, Our case:
Done this once, manipulated my mum to have free house for the weekend
All I have done is, that I have planted a believe, that if she doesn't go to cottage, something bad could happen there.
Exactly it was like that: I went to my mum, carefully asked what they are doing at weekend. She told that they stay at home. I took a long look out and told her, just by the way, that it is snowing quite a lot. She agreed. Then I have asked, how old is the roof at the cottage. She told that quite a lot. I went to have a drink and just by the way I questioned, if the roof is strong enough to hold all the snow. At this point I knew I had her, since she started not to be so sure about it. When she told me it might not be enough strong, I have told her, that checking it might be a good idea. She told me she will think about it
Next morning they went to the cottage.
How to:
First, you have to be on the same "Wave" with the person. Use body language, same kind of speech etc. to achieve this.
Example of speech:
BAD:
Victim: Yo Dude What The Phuck Is Up?
You: Hello, I'm glad to see you. Can I politely ask, if you have time for a meeting?
Good:
Victim: Yo Dude What The Phuck Is Up?
You: How is it hangin'!!! Damn just so phuckin crazy maaaan. Whats up with you dude? Got some time to hang out?
As you see at the examples. Changing the way of your speech will help you to get on the same "wave". Big difference may go to a barrier between you and victim.
Next part is moving the victim to the point you want.
You will do this by slightly redirecting the conversation to the point you want.
Example:
Victim: Hey!! Just about to jump over that fire!
You: Wow Thats cool!!! How high can you jump??
Victim: Look! -jumps-
You: Cool man!!! Wow you could do some cool things with this!!!
Victim: Yeah, If I think about it.
You: Yep! Wow saw awesome film yesterday, Free Running its called.
Victim: What is it about?
You: About a guy doing this crazy stuff!!! Jumping from building to building
Victim: Awesome!!!
You: If I think about it, you could manage it!!!
Victim: I'm not so sure about it
You: Hey lets try!!! Jump over that bench!!!
Victim: Hey yeh!!! -jumps over the bench-
You: Cool, try something else!!!
See how he forgot about the fire? :tongue: jk :biggrin: This is a quite short scenario how to change somebodies mind by slowly "programming" his thoughts.
Right now, here would go the theory, but since it would take a full book, I wont post it :biggrin: Also, I'm not so good at this art. But its good to know about it. :smile:

I imagine this technique as a sound, when you both play same tune, and then you slightly change it, the other person will move too, repeat until you get where you want

I just notice i manipulate my boss all the time.

Well... you can manipulate anyone you want, the thing is, you must hide it properly. If the person knows you are SEing him, then he will resist, if he doesn't, there is a chance he will fall, depends on your skills
