If you're planning to specifically SE Apple, they can be difficult to deal with when hitting the DNA.

For Instance, they're known to release themselves from liability and ask you to deal directly with the carrier.

There's always the possibility of blacklisting the IMEI, Irrespective of which company has been SEd.

I'm not suggesting It "will" happen, but rather It "may" eventuate.

Yes was pretty wary of that, but doesn't seem like it was an issue at all. Provided empty box pics and that was game.

Apple are seeming to be generous with EB refunds at the moment and ignoring the weight of the item (ie. not checking with carriers).
People having great success with iPhones, even on fresh accounts I hear (given nothing flagged in relation to your details).
Air pods seeming to be almost guaranteed SE.

As for actual methods, I've been hearing of success both from saying no item inside the actual product packaging, as well as saying no entire product within the shipping box. I'm unsure which has a better success rate, but I was advised for iPhones to do the latter by someone with many successes.

As It stands, Apple Is a lot easier than Amazon.

They're approving claims with very little to no questions asked.
